FAQ

What do I have to consider at the installation?
If you run GreenHopper already the installation is very simple: just download and install the plug in and start working.
Otherwise you have to make sure that you have enabled the issue types Story and Epic and the custom fields ‘Story Points’ (number) and ‘Epic’ (label)
The simplest way to obtain this issue types and fields is to install the GreenHopper and reindex the system. After that just uninstall Greenhopper so that no license fee will be charged. But you can also add this fields manually of course.

Can I use Story Map together with GreenHopper?
Yes of course! StoryMap is the optimal complement to Grenhopper.

My Browser do not display the StoryMap. What should I do?
Make shure that scripting is enabled for Java Script and XSLT.
In some IE versions you have to disable web feeds.
We optimized the application for Firefox, Chrome and Safari.

Which JIRA versions are supported?
Currently the Story Map is tested with: JIRA 5.0 ++
the new Epic mechanism in GreenHopper labs is not yet supported

I have so many stories, that I do not have the whole picture at a glance. What can I do?

Is this plug in available for the On Demand verison of Jira?
no, unfortunately not. currently there is just a limited set of plugins available at the onDemand environment. But in the next few months there will be a new JIRA architecture available and when that is available, that will be the way to get your plugins into OnDemand: atlassian on demand policy

    Hi,

    I have installed the plug-in.

we use GH 6.1 in the environment we are trying to install.
It installs fine…Story Map appears in the Nav menu.

When I try to click on create Epic…it brings up the create epic card.
When i try to save…i get an error “Communication error: bad request”

Can you shed some light on this.

Also does this work with the new GH Epic panels….can the story map be created for the epics already created via GH 6.1.2

    Regards,
    Jeff

    Hi Jeff,

just now we released version 2.0.2 which can deal with the new epic link in GH 6.1.2.
The Communication error should be solved, as well.

just update from UPM and let me know if it suits.

    Regards,
    Florian
