Release Setup

Release Management is the central responsible body for the implementation of Changes to the IT Infrastructure, so that these are carried out in an effective, secure and verifiable manner. Their tasks include planning, monitoring and implementation of respective Rollouts or Rollins in co-ordination with Change Management.

As the central entity, Release Management is responsible for implementing changes in the IT infrastructure so that they are carried out effectively, securely and comprehensibly. His responsibilities include planning, monitoring and conducting rollouts. Process Owner is the Release Manager, who oversees the execution of changes in the IT infrastructure.

Participating roles in a release are the Application Manager as the supervisor of the applications and the Infrastructure Manager with the support of the infrastructure components. The Test Manager ensures impartiality for a high quality of the process results.

Important KPIs can be documented in a release. For example: The number of releases, the lead time of a release, and the number of rejections in a release. Finally, a Zapier integration can be used to create a log document of the release.
